I prefer that we talk face to face, if possible, alternatively over Skype or FaceTime, whatever suits you and I. Video calls preferred to voice calls, as it gives a lot more information both ways.
The agenda for the first talk will be something like this:
- Training history
- Available time for training
- Food, water, coffee, candy…
- Communication preferences
- Setting up TrainingPeaks with me as your coach
- Making the first training program
You will need a Premium TrainingPeaks account when working with me, which you can buy through me at $9/month, or you may buy it yourself, I have a 20% discount code you can use. It’s the cheapest solution, if you buy for a full year.
The thing I like a lot about TrainingPeaks is that I can handle a lot of athletes in one place, and TrainingPeaks can get data pushed automatically from Garmin, Polar and Suunto devices, making it very easy to work with for athletes too.
The first training program will most likely just be for 2 weeks or so, we’re just getting to know each other. Later on it will usually be around 4-5 weeks at a time, what ever fits, and such that we have a talk roughly once per month.
I am mostly looking at your comments to your workouts, and I can only work with what you tell me, so the better you communicate with me, the more you get out of it.
